At Home in Keyport
To support Keyport residents, we’ve created a Medical Equipment Library with donated equipment that can be checked out at no cost. Crutches, wheelchairs, walkers, and other supplies are available. We also have a referral list of neighbor-recommended contractors and other service providers. To access either, call Rosie Watne at 541.660.7533.

Ballot Box
Voting is made easy by an official Kitsap County ballot box located in Central Park.

Book Club

Coffee at the Merc
Informal gathering at the Keyport Mercantile deck for coffee at 9:00 AM on Wednesdays. All are welcome.

Community Garage Sale
The date of the community wide garage sale will be announced at a later date. Host a sale at your house, or donate your time or stuff to the KIC booth to support the community club. Contact Patti Corcoran for more info: 360.620.5812.

Delene’s Team
KIC volunteers will provide meals and other support for community members facing serious illness or family emergencies. Named in honor of Delene Scrafford, our brave friend who passed in July 2012. If you’d like to help please contact Flo Schule at 360.930.2558.

Disaster Preparedness
The Keyport community works to be self-sustaining in the event of an emergency by encouraging individual preparedness, stockpiling first aid supplies, training volunteers to open a Red Cross shelter at Keyport Bible Church, and storing emergency meals. Click on the disaster plan link to read more.

Small Town Fourth of July

History
The KIC History Committee has compiled a CD of historical photos of Keyport, conducted interviews of Keyport pioneers, and collected earlier written histories of our town. Check out the link provided by the Poulsbo Historical Society for a chapter on Keyport history from a local history book.

Keyport Post Office
There is no home delivery by the USPS in Keyport, but mailboxes are located at the post office. A regular sized P.O. Box is available at no charge. Larger boxes are also available for a fee. Look for the community board at the post office to keep up to speed on current happenings.

KIC Monthly Meeting
There are eight meetings a year held at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday of the month, January through June, October and November. Meetings can be viewed on Zoom.

Kitsap County Citizens on Patrol (COPS)
Volunteer to be part of Kitsap County’s COPS. Unit members serve as eyes and ears of law enforcement, report suspicious activity, and safely supplement theSheriff’s Office presence throughout Kitsap County.

Lost and Found Pets
While we don’t have a formal process for getting lost Keyport pets home, we have had good luck with these free resources. Contact Judy Kelly at 206.910.9949 if you need help.

  • Join the Facebook group Kitsap Lost Pets where you can post a picture of lost & found pets. Make sure to include the area lost or found, a description and any special information.
  • Our local animal shelter is Kitsap Humane Society. They accept lost pets, and will take listings of lost pets in case they are turned in. This is also a wonderful place to adopt a pet needing a home! Visit them online at https://www.kitsap-humane.org

Navy Band Northwest
Navy Band Northwest periodically offers free concert the U. S. Naval Undersea Museum.

Maintaining Keyport Parks
Keyport volunteers help maintain our two community parks. Saltwater Park is a small wooded waterfront park near the bridge on Hwy 308 with benches, picnic tables, and a beautiful view. It is part of the Kitsap Water Trail. Central Park is in the center of Keyport and offers picnic tables, a gazebo, and a merry-go-round. Port of Keyport Monthly Meeting
Port of Keyport Commissioners meet on the first Monday of each month at 6:00 PM. During the pandemic, meetings take place on Zoom. For more information, contact Gene Warden at 360.535.4043 or visit the Port of Keyport web site.


Senior Lunch Bunch
Suspended during the pandemic.
Lunch at the Keyport Mercantile, featuring a special of the day, for senior members of the community. Lunch is the 2nd Thursday of each month at 1:00 PM.

Walking Group
Rain or shine, Keyport walkers take weekday walks of about 3 miles beginning at 8:00 AM at the west end of Petterson Road. Join any place along Petterson. Participants walk at their own speed.

Welcome Committee
